Day 1

Ajaccio → Cargèse

Begin in Ajaccio, Corsica’s historic capital and birthplace of Napoleon, where pastel-painted façades and fortified citadel walls hint at a storied past. As you sail west to Cargèse, the scent of maquis‑shrubland drifts across the deck. Cargèse is unique in Corsica for its twin churches: one built in the Latin (Catholic) tradition, the other in the Greek‑Byzantine rite, facing each other on a hill overlooking the sea. Day 2

Scandola & Girolata

Access is highly regulated — anchoring is restricted in parts of the reserve to protect the fragile ecosystem. Witness spectacular red-rock cliffs, seabirds, and possibly dolphins or ospreys on a slow cruise, then drop anchor at Girolata, a tiny, remote hamlet accessible only by sea or foot.

Today’s the longest leg: about 29 NM as you head south toward Capo Rosso, one of Corsica’s most striking headlands. Capo Rosso features a pink granite cliff rising to ~331 m, crowned by a historic Genoese tower (Tour de Turghiu). Anchor nearby and enjoy panoramic views or hike if conditions allow.
