How to Choose a Yacht Berth for the Abu Dhabi GP 2026

October 20, 2026

Start with the length of your yacht, then decide how much the view matters to you.

Not every berth at Yas Marina offers a view of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix circuit. Some put you alongside the track, while others provide access to the marina restaurants and race-week atmosphere.

Your choice depends on where you want to watch the race, your yacht size, and the access included with your booking. Here’s how to compare berth options and choose the right one for your weekend.

Start With the Length of Your Yacht

Yas Marina operates 227 berths for yachts, with regular ones for vessels up to 90 metres and designated visitor berths for superyachts up to 175 metres. Track-view berths are also available during race week.

The marina offers different berthing arrangements depending on your yacht’s size and requirements. Before booking, confirm that your vessel can be accommodated and whether a berth with a direct view of the circuit is available for your dates.

Check Yas Marina’s official berth information for details about its berthing facilities and visitor berthing options for information about visiting yachts, advance booking and Grand Prix arrangements

Is the Track View Worth It?

A track-view berth lets you watch the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix from your yacht, without leaving the deck. It’s the better choice if watching the on-track action is a priority for your group.

A berth without a direct circuit view can still be a good option. You can enjoy the marina atmosphere, access nearby restaurants, and experience the wider race-week events. You may need to use the marina’s large screens to follow the action.

Before booking, check out three things: whether the berth has a direct view of the circuit, whether your yacht and guest group can be accommodated, and what access is included with your booking. If watching the race from your yacht is essential, confirm the view with the marina or your charter provider rather than assuming every Yas Marina berth offers one.

What Your Passes Cover

Each yacht receives a set number of guest and crew passes, with larger yachts receiving more. A standard guest pass is valid for one day and includes access to the marina pontoons and boardwalk, the circuit’s Oasis area, nightly concerts with general admission, and a pit-lane walk.

Guests can upgrade to Golden Circle for front-of-stage concert access. The Yas Marina VIP pass covers all four days of the weekend, while the Super Parks Pass includes entry to Ferrari World, Yas Waterworld and Warner Bros. World from Wednesday to Sunday.

Sitting in the grandstands is a separate ticket, since marina passes don’t cover them. Our Abu Dhabi F1 ticket price guide breaks down the options.

How the Weekend Fits Together

Early in the week, guests can use the Super Parks Pass from Wednesday to visit Ferrari World, Yas Waterworld and Warner Bros. World. The pit-lane walk usually takes place on Thursday, making it another good day to explore before the main race sessions begin. In the evenings, guests can head to du Arena for live concerts, with shuttle buses available for the journey. The Amber Lounge is another entertainment option at Yas Links Golf Club. On Sunday, attention turns to the main event, with the race scheduled to start at 5 p.m.

Getting around Yas Marina is straightforward. Complimentary water taxis connect key points around the marina for eligible pass holders, although they do not stop near the track. To reach the circuit, guests can use the public club car shuttle, which has five stops along the southern and south-western sides. For trips around the island, the Yas Express connects key attractions, including Ferrari World, Yas Mall, Yas Waterworld and several hotels.

There are also several places to eat near the marina entrance. Options include Marco Pierre White Steakhouse & Grill, Iris and Stars N’ Bars. The W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island also has restaurants for guests who prefer to dine at the hotel.

If Yas Marina Doesn’t Work Out

Some guests stay at other marinas and travel to Yas Island on race days. According to Boatcrowd’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix yacht charter guide, mainland Abu Dhabi marinas are around 15–25 minutes away by road, while Dubai Marina is about 90 minutes away. The main difference is traveling to the circuit each day instead of watching the race from your yacht. Your broker can advise which option suits your dates.
